A unique coat hanger and a model ship

Jonathan cut and sanded a wooden plaque and asked me to do a wood burning scene on it.

(Please excuse the horrible quality of the photos)

First I sketched the scene on paper...

..then I traced it with tracing paper and traced that over the plaque...

...and burned it on...

...and then Jonathan put caribou antler on it as the hanger for the coats (or for anything other than coats) and varnished it.

Creative what he did don't you think? And beautiful too!

This is the same model ship I posted about...a year ago or so. :-/

This is as much progress that I've gone so far...pretty sad huh?

Enjoy you weekend!

Cartoon Wednesday

I thought it would be fun to do a cartoon of those of us who play Frisbee...all the time. Not that I don't like it, but, I think another soccer game is in order. *hint, hint* This is the result. Not as funny as I wanted it to look but...I like how Ben is flying through the air, and how John is just standing there amists all the flying bodies. Fun times. Good memories. I just had to capture it in a cartoon.

I tried to fit in everybody. Sorry Nathaniel, Otto, Bob, and Becky. Your probably glad I didn't draw you. :P
