Thirsting for more

We recently were passed down a bunch of art supplies, (I think we now have a life-time supply of sketch pads, which is wonderful!) I love it when people pass stuff like this to us. :) Anyway...I went on a sketch craze this week (complete with drool and googly eyes :P). I've been trying out my pens and the cool colored pencils and different sketch pads that came with the art stuff. I love how the pen sketches look, I also like the colored pencils. I'm having a lot of fun with them. Thank you Hannah A!!
I got all trained up for my job and had nothing more I could do until some paper work stuffs was figured out, so that I could work on my own. So I had a few days free to quench my thirst to paint and sketch, and my hands felt quite neglected anyway, they definitively needed a little workout...

When I showed my sisters this sketch, they all commented, "The horse doesn't seem to know the dragon is there, neither does the knight seem to be much in-tuned either"  -.-

...my hands are telling me there not done yet.

I hope you all have a fun week-end!

Magnet gold pans, and more lady bugs

These gold pans are very small and make very cute refrigerator magnets.

The above gold pan is only an inch in width.

Some small news...

I recently was inspired to paint more rocks, by this blog zephyrcatart.wordpress.com, (her work is truly amazing) and Saturday I was spending the day with my sister at a house she was watching and we went to the Klutina river and took a hike at a BEAUTIFUL spot. I will definitively go there again! It is the very place for a photo shoot. I took the opportunity to get some nice smooth painting rocks while there, (I really had to restrain myself from not taking ALL the rocks on the shore and filling Hannah's car trunk up) it was great, I just love looking for rocks to paint, sometimes it can get very hard to tear my eyes of the ground.

 Other news....

I never did win first, second, or third place, or even honorable mention in both of the contests that I had entered a while ago.

I still have that Caribou painting to do, I'm hoping to start it soon, and the bear was a silly idea, scratch that.

I don't know how busy I will get or how often I will be able to work in my studio but I am going to train for a job soon. So, that's going to keep me busy.

Yup.

This spring has been very slow, but today was the first day of 60 degrees! I'm so excited for summer. I'm sure everyone is. Who wouldn't be?

New releases from my studio. At last.

I am finally finished...

...with this painting. *pant*

I did it all from my head. It was very experiential and very good practice for me. I like bears, I paint them way to often. :)

Lady bug rocks! I did these two today, and there's more to come.

Tell me what you think!
